[IIJ= Gyeongsangbuk-do Reporter, Euibong Yeo, Sunho Lee, Hyesung Ma] Chilgok County integrated and held the '5th Nakdong River World Peace Culture Festival' and the '8th Great Nakdong Offensive Victory Festival' at the Chilgok Eco-Park for 3 days from September 22.

With this integrated festival, Chilgok County has firmly established brand image as a city of National Defense and Peace, and gathered the momentum for the development of a tourism belt based on the national defense in the future.

This festival attracted the audience with various military-related exhibitions and experience events such as Honor Guard Demonstration, Street March, Barrack Experience, Black Eagle Air Show, Golden Carriage of Remembrance, and Barrack Photo Zone.

In particular, the 430 meter long magnificent floating bridge across the Nakdong River provided spectators with special attractions.

Mr. Baek Seon-gi, Governor of Chilgok County said, “Chilgok County has made a lot of effort to make the postwar generations who have not experienced the pain of war feel the value of national defense and peace in their daily life for 365 days a year rather than at a specific time.” He added, “We will also build the National Defense & Peace Park and the Korea-America Friendship Park along with this Nakdong River World Peace Culture Festival in order to light up Korea with the lamp of national defense and peace which that will not go out all the year round."
