[IIJ= Gyeongsangbuk-do Reporter, Euibong Yeo, Boseul Lee]Saemaul Globalization Foundation which is the Gyeongsangbuk-do, Republic of Korea, funded institute, held the opening ceremony of 'Saemaul Training Center in Kyrgyzstan' at Manas village, Talas, Kyrgyzstan, with the attendance of the Korean delegation including Junggwang Park, Chair of Foundation, Momunaliev, Cabinet Minister, Karavaev, Director of Bureau of Policy, Chief of Saemaul Training Center of Kyrgyzstan, and 80s people.

There is an expectation in Kyrgyzstan for Saemaul Training Center as a core center to play the role to spread out Saemaul Globalization in Central Asia due to the opening of Saemaul Training Center for fostering local Saemaul leaders.

Henceforth, Kyrgyzstan Saemaul Training Center will perform Saemaul training for senior civil service agents, local government's officers, and head and people of the pilot town in order to alterate people's consciousness and has the goal to contribute to development of rural area in Kyrgyzstan by fostering Saemaul leaders.

Local and central government, both of them, are very enthusiastic in Saemaul Undong. In adition to Saemaul Training Center, 'Kyrgyzstan Saemaul Committee' established, whose chair is Momunaliev, Cabinet Minister under the Prime Minister, and it is managed with the participation of 13 number of people including Secretary of related departments and the heads of local
organizations.

Currently in Kyrgyzstan, these two focused groups designated 50 pilot town including 'Manas Saemaul Pilot Town' for themselves without supports and progressed many projects such as planting, road maintenance and pavement, purchasing garbage truck, construction of community hall, and etc. Especially, Korea-Kyrgyzstan Friendship Park was built in Manas village for the extension of Saemaul Undong and to have symbolistic meaning.
